Privacy policy
The short version: we collect as little as possible, we track nobody, and we sell nothing about you. Effective July 7, 2026.
Who we are and what this covers
Arctos Media LLC is a Virginia limited liability company. This policy covers arctos-media.com and applies at the company level to every website and service Arctos Media LLC operates that links to this page, including pixel-politics.com and taloraeth.com. If a property needs to say something specific about its own features, it publishes a supplement, and the supplement controls where the two differ.
What we do not do
Across everything we operate: no advertising, no ad networks, no third-party analytics, no tracking cookies, no social-media pixels, and no sale or sharing of personal information for advertising. This is not fine print; it is the business model. We are reader-funded so that readers are who we answer to.
What this website collects
arctos-media.com is a static site. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and has no forms or accounts. Our hosting provider (Microsoft Azure) produces standard, short-lived server logs (such as IP address and browser type) that exist for security and operations; we do not use them to identify visitors.
If you email us, we receive your address and whatever you send. Our mail runs on Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online), which processes it on our behalf. We keep correspondence as long as we need it to handle the matter and maintain honest records, and we do not add you to any list you did not ask for.
Our properties
Pixel Politics offers account sign-in by email link; that means it processes your email address and uses only the cookies required to keep you signed in. Its transactional email (such as sign-in links) is sent through Azure Communication Services. Reader funding runs through Patreon, which handles payments under its own privacy policy; we never see your full payment details. Where any of our properties link to third-party platforms (retailers, video, social networks, membership services), those platforms collect data under their own policies, not this one.
When we share information
Only with the service providers named above, only so they can provide their service to us, or if the law genuinely requires it. Never for advertising. Never for sale.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have legal rights to access, correct, or delete personal information. We do not make you invoke a statute: email contact@arctos-media.com and ask, and we will do it for anyone, anywhere, unless the law requires us to keep something.
Children
Our properties are general-audience publications and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is posted here with a new effective date. We do not weaken the commitments above quietly.
